Preview Art from Comix Reader Issue 6 : Peter Lally

A panel from Peter Lally's "Our Thing" :

It's not quite the first appearance of this strip, as it was originally in Peter's limited edition London: October 2013 to May 2014, and that comic you can read about here in an interesting article and review by Andy Oliver.

Monday

Preview Art from Comix Reader Issue 6 : Craig Burston

I just find it very pleasurable (and strangely relaxing) to follow Craig Burston's retro graphics sequences. Here are 3 panels from a new 2-page story for CR6.

Swipe File I

I thought this was interesting. Of course it could be mere coincidence. I felt a bit ill when I saw the web page though.

Donald Hamilton

by Peter Lally

"Olivier, Gielgud, Richardson... it should have been Hamilton too. Widely regarded as the next in line, his career fell apart amidst increasingly erratic performances, and a series of rumours around his private life. Well-known for enjoying a drink, and his larger than life persona, it looked as if his acting days were over following his appearances in the awful BBC sitcom 'Mind Your Manners'." (Introduction from "Donald Hamilton in 'The Lights Have Gone Out'" from The Bedsit Journal issue 3, 2008.)

First appeared in The Bedsit Journal issue 1 (2004), then The Bedsit Journal issue 3 (2008), then the comic Mind Your Manners - a Donald Hamilton Zine (2010, written by Peter Lally, drawn by Paul Ashley Brown).

Toast of London (2012)

Comedy series following Steven Toast, an eccentric middle-aged actor with a chequered past who spends more time dealing with his problems off stage than performing on it.

And there's more to come ...
